One of the best ways to help protect against the flu is to get your flu shot every year.  If you are a healthcare provider or care for another individual (an older person, children, or people with health problems) it is even more important that you get your flu shot.

In the US, most people get the flu between December and March with the flu season usually peaking in March.  That's why it is important to remember that even getting a flu shot in January or February could save you from a case of the flu.
